So regardless of anybody’s skills, I’m sure there’s still going to be a service they can fit in on Fiverr and get paid for doing it.

The concept behind the platform is actually simple; you just need to create an account as a seller of service or buyer if you just want to buy services (gigs).

• Gig Extras: this simply means buying additional service with the initial Gig a buyer wants to buy from a Fiverr seller.
• Freelancer: this equally refers to seller of the gig or service you want to buy on Fiverr. So as a seller yourself, you’re going to be referred to as freelancer.

How to Make Money on Fiverr in Nigeria [The Old Method]

As discussed earlier, I’m going to be showing you ways at which you can make money on Fiverr in Nigeria. First, I’m going to be starting with the old method.

The old method is something you already know. It includes going through the niches and choosing a service you can render on Fiverr then establishing yourself as a professional freelancer.

Let’s go through the steps and process of what you need to do to portray yourself as a professional freelancer on Fiverr.

Step 1: Signup on Fiverr

So here is the first thing you need to do to establish yourself as a seller on Fiverr, you need to sign-up for an account.

You can only buy and sell on Fiverr as a registered user only, and signing up is quite easy to do. You just need to head over to Fiverr and hit the Sign-Up Button.

After a successful sign-up, the next thing you’ll need to do is confirm your email address. An email with the confirmation link will be sent to you immediately after you sign-up.

Just click the link in the email and your account will be confirmed and activated. After this, the next thing to do is to create your seller profile.

Your profile will determine how you present yourself to the world; a good profile will portray you as a professional freelance. So you’ll need to take your time while doing that.

There’s no need to re-invent the wheel here, simply browse through the Fiverr platform and take a look at the profiles of the top-performing freelancers.

Once you find then, use that as an inspiration to create your own profile.

Step 2: Create Your Fiverr Gig

This is where you create a service you want to sell. Without a gig is simply means no product to sell. So you need to create one to keep your account active.

Remember, choose a service within the niche you’ll be comfortable doing. That is, you don’t want to start selling service you can’t provide yourself.

Go through the list above if you’re still unsure of what to do and choose one to create a gig about it. You could make your gig in packages to increase your chance of making more money.

Check your gig description and compare it with the top sellers of your niche. Please don’t copy their description word for word, else you might be blocked.

You just need it as an idea to create something better.

Also, put your service delivery duration as 1 day. This will increase your order rate as most buyers want their service quick.

How to Optimize Your Fiverr Gig for Quick Order

Being a new account and with the rate of competition on the platform, you might not see much of order immediately.

This is why you need to optimize your gig to start receiving orders as soon as possible. For proper optimization of your account, you’ll be going to need a couple of things.

This includes:

• A dummy Account
• Fake Visitor/Traffics

You’ll need the dummy account to buy your service 2 or 3times then give yourself an awesome review. After that, you need to drive traffic to your gig.

Around 300 visitors should do.

In case you don’t know how to get the traffics, you can also buy them on Fiverr. Once everything is done properly, you’ll be on the first page of Fiverr for the search term of your service.

The more visible you are, the more money you’re going to make.

How to Make Money on Fiverr in Nigeria [The New Method]

Now that we understood how to make money on Fiverr in Nigeria using the old method, let’s explore the new method.

Remember the old method is about selling service on the platform to make money this new method is about buying services on Fiverr and re-selling it at a much higher price to your clients.

As a matter of fact you can do both. You just need to find clients that want a service to be done and provide the service for them.

However, this time around you won’t be the person providing the service.

All you simply need to do is outsource it to a different freelancer and deliver the job to your client as though it was created by you.

Your profit is going to be the difference between how much you charge your client and how much you outsource it to the third party freelancer.

It includes a few steps to get started, let’s go through them, shall we?

Step 1: Choose a Service to Out-source

Just like the seller method, you’ll need to choose a service that you’ll be drop servicing. The reason for this is that, you need to have an idea of what you’re selling.

If you don’t, you won’t be able to check the service done by the freelance for quality review. That is, if the work is ok or not before you send it to your client.

So make you sure you choose a niche you understand how it works and drop service it to make money.

Step 2: Find a Freelancer on Fiverr

Once you’ve discovered the niche you want to outsource, you’ll need to find a freelancer that can get the job done perfectly.

Try and look for 2 to 3 freelancers of the same service, so when one is busy, the other can have the job done quickly without having to delay your client.

Before choosing however, you’ll need to check the reviews and look at what their previous clients have said about them.

This will help you know if they are good at what they do or not.

Once everything is in place, the next thing you want to do is start looking for clients. To do this you’ll need to create an account as a seller on other freelancer sites.

And once you start receiving orders you can then outsourced it to another freelancer on Fiverr for a cheaper price and keep your profits on all transactions.

Getting Paid [Payoneer & PayPal]

Most of these sites pay via PayPal and Payoneer. Luckily for you, Payoneer is free to open.  PayPal however, limits Nigeria from receiving payments.
