No, we won’t stop there.

I will help you answer ONE disturbing question relating to building an affiliate marketing online business in Pakistan.

Let’s get started quickly!

With the question first.

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work In Pakistan?

First of all – if you’re still thinking about whether affiliate marketing works in Pakistan or not, wonder no more.

Affiliate marketing WORKS in Pakistan.

Affiliate marketing is a kind of online marketing where you get paid in commissions for making or bringing sales to a product or service that is not yours.

The concept behind ‘affiliate marketing is the same around the whole world and it does not change.

Affiliate marketing happens to be one of the fastest and easy types of online business to start when you’re new online.

It requires no product creation, fulfilment or logistical stress.

All you just have to do is apply to become an affiliate of a particular company or product, then start driving customers with your unique affiliate link.

Like:

  • Choose an affiliate product to promote
  • Get your unique affiliate ID or URL
  • Start promoting or driving traffic
  • Prospects click your unique link
  • Prospects turn to customers or buy the product
  • Merchant credits your account (you get paid)

Though, the process involved in doing affiliate marketing in Pakistan or anywhere else in the world could seem a bit simple with the way I outlined it above…

But I have to be honest with you.

Affiliate marketing IS HARD.

It takes a lot of hard work, patience, and consistency. Yeah, that’s just like every other serious venture out there.

But when you start getting results, you’ll be amazed at how rich you can become from the efforts you’ve put in over the years.

Out of all the above steps of doing affiliate marketing in Pakistan, the most challenging part among all is how to drive traffic that brings commissions. Aka – money in our bank accounts.

Driving targeted traffic turn customers turn commissions would be my major focus in this post.

How To Start Affiliate Business In Pakistan (Step-by-Step)

Before I continue, I want you to bear in mind that:

As an affiliate marketer – your job is NOT to shove your links into people’s faces or go into places and start spamming people with your links. You’ll never make it that way.

That’s NOT how to do affiliate marketing!

Affiliate marketing is all about sharing valuable insights, helping others, and educating people about an affiliate product and how it helps them with their present needs and situation.

You should see affiliate marketing as a way to build relationships, get people to like and trust you, so they will always be ready to buy whatever you recommend.

You help them make a smarter decision.

Even if they know you’re an affiliate trying to sell them – they will see it as a way to patronize you in return.

That’s one of the secrets of affiliate marketing.

Always be willing to help and see others succeed with what you’re promoting.

You get the point?

The sermon is over.

Here’s a step-by-step process to follow:

Choose Your Affiliate Product to Promote

If you’re new to affiliate marketing and don’t know what to promote as an affiliate – some of the things I’d look into are:

  • Things I like and stuff I’m interested in?
  • Topic and Industry that I’m knowledgeable about?
  • Something I accidentally stumbled on and developed an interest

#1: Things I like and stuff I’m interested in

When I first started online, my earnest desire was to help business owners take care of their digital marketing needs. Like helping them with Facebook ads, Google ads and stuff like that.

I did everything possible to learn online marketing skills in this field so as to help people with those.

Despite coming from the computer science background without any programming skill – I desired to be a marketer by all means.

I just loved the online marketing thing and wanted to be great at it.

Along the way, I started my very first blog focused on digital marketing – then used that blog to promote affiliate products in the online marketing space.

SEO tools, blogging tools, etc.

That’s a typical example of how to find affiliate products to promote.

I liked online marketing, I had a deep interest in it. I went ahead to start promoting online marketing related products and services.

Please don’t get me wrong.

It’s not a do or die affair that you must promote digital marketing products. Just take a look at where you are now and what you love and passionate about.

You can start there and look for affiliate programs in those areas.

#2: Topic and Industry that I’m knowledgeable about

This is the best route you can ever go if you’re looking for what to promote as an affiliate in Pakistan.

Imagine you’re in the medical space and you want to want to start an online or affiliate marketing business in Pakistan.

Take it or leave it – you’ll have more EDGE promoting affiliate products in the medical or health niche on any platform than marketers who aren’t involved in the medical industry but yet promote medical-related affiliate offers.

Or let’s say you are a HUGE lover of video games, or your hobby is skating or you’re into motor parts….

C’mon!

Those are great angles for anyone into those niches already to make good money on monthly basis – educating thousands (or millions) of people daily who are looking for content that’ll help them make favorable decisions in their everyday lives.

You’re knowledgeable about your topic – so you can make money from that promoting affiliate products.

#3: Something I accidentally stumbled on and developed an interest

You can wake up one day and decide to venture into computer programming, right?

Or you encounter an epiphany moment about a particular idea and made up your mind to start working on it. It happens all the time.

For example:

Sometime in mid-2019, I came across an offline opportunity in the health/supplement space. Knowing fully well that I’m not a health or fitness person, and being not the type that passes on opportunity…

…I went home to conduct my research (for months), then I discovered that I can actually dominate this opportunity online while it’s yet to be saturated.

I bought a domain and hosted a site, then I went further to build another successful business online.

Not just for affiliate marketing, but used other forms of website monetization tactics.

This is just to tell you that you can monetize any opportunity online via affiliate or any other means you choose.

You can wake up today having an Aha moment to start a business – don’t doubt it!

DO IT!

Finding Your Affiliate Product

After making up your mind on the type of niche and product you want to promote – its now time to find companies or merchants to affiliate for.

Not a biggie.

Use a search engine like Google, search for “affiliate program” + [niche] or maybe if you have a product name in mind you can also do “affiliate program” + [product name].

Sometimes, I would go to the product site’s footer to follow the affiliate application link.

Another method is signing up to affiliate networks that accept Pakistan, then from there I can find and apply to promote affiliate offers.

Networks like:

  • CJ affiliate network
  • Rakuten
  • ShareAsale

Choose a Traffic Source to Promote Your Affiliate Products

This is the most critical and important step in this guide. In fact, online marketing wouldn’t exist without traffic.

Traffic is the lifeblood of an online business.

When it comes to driving traffic to your affiliate links to make sales – there are quite a few strategies you can employ and still make commissions.

Again, it all depends on how you wish to go about it and which traffic medium you’ll be more comfortable with on the long run.

Don’t worry.

I will break it all down for you in chunks, listing the strategies and how you can get started with them without delay.

Online traffic can be acquired in two forms:

  • Ads traffic sources (paid)
  • Organic traffic sources (free)

Both sources are great. With paid you get faster results, pay lots and tests a bunch of things. While organic takes time to build and get results and it is more of a long-term strategy.

You’re either at the beginning of your journey without much budget.

So, I will be focusing more on organic free methods.

We shall be building a long-term sustainable business here.

#1: Paid Ads traffic sources

Just as the name sounds – this is the type of traffic you pay to acquire customers.

You basically run ads to your affiliate products to make commissions. You can do with Facebook ads, Google ads, Pinterest ads, YouTube ads, Bing ads, etc.

In all honesty, if you’re starting out, I wouldn’t advise you take the paid ads route to drive traffic to your affiliate products.

Unless you’ve mastered and learned it in and out.

Apart from that.

You’ll be paying for a cold or a warm audience and you’ll need to bridge your visitors and or collect email contacts for remarketing.

Like I said earlier affiliate marketing involves giving value, building relationships, and rapport with your audience.

You’re pretty much unlikely to achieve that using paid ads.

Don’t misunderstand me, please.

What I’m trying to say here is that – it’ll be much better for you as a beginner starting with the organic method and NOT wasting money with paid ads.

Let’s start small and grow BIGGER instead of starting BIG and burning cash to regret later.

#2: Organic free traffic sources

In my years of experience doing affiliate marketing, I’ve found the organic type of traffic to be the BEST.

I mean…

…you keep getting traffic to your assets, making a commission for years from the contents you’ve created and you might have even forgotten that you created them.

Organic traffic platforms:

Those are the three places or platforms where you can publish your content to educate people about your affiliate products, build relationships, increase brand your brand awareness and gain trust.

And in return get massive clicks to your affiliate links, make a sale, and get paid your affiliate commissions.

Your contents remain there and you keep getting eyes and clicks to them for years!

Even though I currently used one platform out of the three (hint: I love writing ?) – which still works perfectly.

We shall take a look at the three platforms and how you can get started building your business on them.

#1: YouTube videos

I will admit that I’m not a video marketer. But I got a few online marketing friends who are into YouTube BIG time and they’re crazily crushing it.

Like those who make thousands of dollars on a monthly basis from YouTube through affiliate marketing. Not from Ads.

For example, when I go on YouTube to perform a search on the best computer under $500…

Here are the results:

best computer under 500 - YouTube search

Looking through each of the results – you’ll see that there are affiliate links to the product sales page in each of the descriptions of the videos.

There different types of videos you can produce on about a particular affiliate product.

Ranging from:

  • Product review videos
  • How-to videos (tutorial)
  • Top 10 videos
  • Best of videos
  • Product alternative videos

If YouTube is something you plan to take seriously here is a nice post from AuthorityHacker on doing affiliate marketing on YouTube.

Enjoy!

#2: Blogging

This is the most common method most online marketers employ to make money online as an affiliate – which you can model to make money as an affiliate in Pakistan.

I’ve been blogging for a very long time now and it has been my favorite way of doing affiliate marketing.

All you have to do is to create a blog, perform keyword research, put up some great content related to the niche products you plan to promote.

Here are some types of posts you can create:

  • A review about an X product
  • An alternative to an X product
  • A tutorial on how to use an X product
  • List of the best Y tools in Z industry
  • 6 reasons why Z experts prefer X products to T
  • A guide on how to perform a particular task (using X product as a case study)

The lists keep going on and on…

Then you can optimize your site for SEO. Create social profiles, build links, share posts madly, create a page for your blog and boost social media for high Google rankings and traffics.

Check out Backlinko.com for everything SEO and link building.

Like I said, using blogs has been my preferred method of doing affiliate marketing so far because it’s cheaper and requires fewer resources.

Hey!

But more time. But it’s freaking worth it! Trust me.

When you use an amazingly free hosting service that gives you a free domain and one-click WordPress installlike Bluehost – setting up a blog has become an easy task.

#3: Facebook Group

If you ask me, I would say this method isn’t popular in Pakistan (yet).

It’s in two forms.

  • The First:

Using the Attraction Marketing Technique where you go into related groups on Facebook (where your target audience congregates) and help people with their problems – answering their questions and proving value.

You’ll start getting tons of friend requests and messages from group members needing further help and assistance from you.

Now they’re into your world, help them more and provide your affiliate product as a DFY (Done-For-You) solution to help them get to where they wish to be.

Nobody in his/her right senses would reject your offer (which solves their problem) after rendering your support a couple of times.

Doesn’t that make sense?

  • The Second:

The first above requires you leveraging the Facebook groups of others.

Now this second method requires you Creating Your Own Facebook Group – using that as a place to build your audience, provide support and promote your affiliate products.

I won’t go into explicit details on how this works as it takes more time and needs a bit of Facebook group growth and monetization mastery.

But in a nutshell, you’ll have to build and grow a group of the targeted audiences (within the same niche) – where you position yourself as an expert.

Wrapping Up – Making Money From Affiliate Marketing In Pakistan

I know it’s everyone’s dream to make money from the comfort of their home, free from the encaged 9-5 grind, spending quality time with their loved ones.

And the most amazing part of it:

Not living the life of another man by enriching them the more.

And affiliate marketing is one way to make your dream achievable.

While at first, it might sound too romantic to be true when you see people raving and sharing screenshots on how much thousand dollars made monthly in affiliate marketing.

But that’s actually true. You can do it yourself.

All you need to do is following the right path, take small steps, remain consistent and you’ll be amazed at how the efforts, time and money you invested last week, last month, last year builds up to yield shocking results.

For sure it takes time and it’s not easy, but once you keep at it – I’m confident that you’ll gain a respectable following and see the commissions flying in from right and center.

I started this online business with less than $100.

And so far, I’ve made multiple millions by taking that small step of faith a few years ago, learning and taking action.

Just get started by buying your own domain and hosting from https://bluehost.com. you’ll glad you did.

Lastly, be patient and enjoy the process.

I hope you found this post on how to start and make money from affiliate marketing in Pakistan resourceful.

Kindly share to spread the word.
